Women in the Wild: Fly-Tying (adults 18+)

***Limited equipment. Registration required.
Interested in fly fishing? Why not try tying your own flies? Join a state park naturalist for an evening at the historic Buckstone Farm, where we will learn some basic fly-tying techniques. This program will be held indoors. We will meet at the Conference Building (1201) on the Buckstone property; there will be a parking area out front. Participants will leave with two hand-made flies they can use on their next fly-fishing adventure! For any questions, please reach out at annsoto@pa.gov.
Women in the Wild is a monthly series of outdoor programs held at state parks throughout the Southeast. Each month of 2026 there will be an opportunity to get outdoors, learn a new skill, and have fun in a relaxed, friendly, and affirming environment. Choose from activities like archery, paddleboarding, rock climbing, and birdwatching. Check out the event at your closest state park or follow Women in the Wild to a new park each month. We’re excited to spend the year with you trying new things!
