Trees through Folklore
Details
***Meeting location: High Rocks Overlook Parking Area, 150 Tory Rd, Pipersville, PA 18947*******
Throughout many cultures around the world, the tree has always been a powerful symbol of family, wisdom, and connection. On the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day, join a state park naturalist on a hike at High Rocks, while we discuss the trees local to the area, a bit about the role of trees in Irish heritage, and folklore from around the world on our arboreal neighbors.
For this hike, we will be traveling roughly 3 miles on rocky, sometimes steep and uneven terrain. Please dress in layers for the weather and appropriate footwear for hiking. Be sure to bring water.
