Every summer, wineberries pop up everywhere! Join state park staff for a walk along the towpath at Thompson-Neely Home while we discuss how wineberries got here, PA foraging practices (both present and historic), and how invasive species impact our local forests today. We will also talk about plant ID of both invasive and some local native species.

For this hike, we will be covering flat ground at a moderate pace for a round trip of about 2-3 miles. Please bring comfortable shoes for walking, water, sun protection, and any snacks you may want.

For any questions about this program, please contact Annastasia Soto at [annsoto@pa.gov](mailto:annsoto@pa.gov).
