***Meeting location: High Rocks Overlook Parking Area, 150 Tory Rd, Pipersville, PA 18947***

Have you ever been on a walk and thought: What kind of plant is that? And what is that bird up to, flying in circles? Everyday observations are an excellent way to engage in the natural world around us and what better way to expand on this than nature journaling?
Grab a notebook, sketch pad, or journal and join a park naturalist for a hike in the woods at High Rocks Vistas, where we will make stops to briefly record what we see. There is no required level of artistic ability, as there are many ways to take note of natural phenomena. We will go over skills like descriptive writing, quantitative data, tracing, and more as we explore the world of nature journaling!

This hike will cover roughly 2 miles of rocky, sometimes steep terrain. In addition to paper and any utensils you may want to bring, please bring water, any snacks you may want, and sun protection. Wear shoes appropriate for hiking.

This hike may be cancelled or modified in the event of inclement weather.

For any questions, please reach out to Annastasia Soto at [annsoto@pa.gov](mailto:annsoto@pa.gov).
