The visitor center colonial herb garden is a great learning space for traditional herb gardening. Please, join the volunteers of Evansburg State Park in weeding and tending this interpretive resource.
We'll provide tools and gloves, so grab a trowel and lend a hand!

- Marsh Creek Dam WalkMarsh Creek State Park West Launch, Downingtown, PA
Join us for a hike to the marsh Creek dam, during the hike we will learn about history and local flora and fauna. This 2-3 mile hike navigates uneven terrain but the walk is considered moderate hiking.
Counting down to America’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026, DCNR has partnered with America250PA to celebrate the role of Pennsylvania’s public outdoor spaces and their impact on the Commonwealth. Focusing on America250PA’s theme of “Educate, Preserve, Innovate, and Celebrate” (EPIC), DCNR is helping to engage citizens in all 67 counties to commemorate this momentous occasion. - Beltzville Stargazing: Sturgeon Full MoonBeltzille State Park, Lehighton , PA

Join the park naturalist and our Astronomy enthusiasts/Conservation Volunteers for our August full moon viewing program! Participants will have captivating views of the August Sturgeon full moon, as well as planets and constellations, using our professional telescopes. This program will begin as a short informative discussion followed by a hands-on exploration of the wonders and mysteries of the evening skies. Feel free to bring your own equipment. This event is free. It is also helpful to install the free stargazing app called SkyView Lite prior to the program. Links to the app can be found here:

SkyView® Lite - Apps on Google PlayThis stargazing program will be held at the Pine Run Boat Launch on Pohopoco Drive. The Pine Run Boat Launch is located approximately 4/10th of a mile east of the park office on Pohopoco Drive (GPS coordinates for the boat launch entrance are N 40.86705 W 75.62047). Please DO NOT park in the long parking spaces designated for boat trailers!!!
MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. The park asks that visitors to our stargazing programs please leave their pets at home. Dim lighting, large crowds and sensitive equipment do not create a pet-friendly environment.
***PLEASE NOTE!!! All stargazing programs will be canceled and in the event of cloudy/overcast skies, rain, or severe thunderstorms. If the sky is overcast or mostly cloudy, the program will be canceled. If the sky is clear or partly cloudy, the program is a GO! A decision to cancel will be made no later than 3pm the day of the program, but normally a decision to cancel needs to be made 24 hours in advance. Please keep this in-mind before traveling a long distance to this program!!! PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL OR THE CALENDAR OF EVENTS PAGE FOR A NOTIFICATION OF CANCELLATION BEFORE COMING TO THE PARK!!!
