Group Volunteer Day at AZCEND in Chandler 🙋‍♀️🤝🌽

Let's give back to those right here in our community at AZCEND in downtown Chandler.

One of the partner organizations of the United Food Bank, AZCEND helps people struggling with hunger, poverty and homelessness provide essential resources, including food and shelter, for those here in our community.

On the third Saturday of each month, volunteer groups assist with the food bank with organization and distribution of food items to directly to those here in our community.

As per AZCEND:

There is street parking available, as well as, a dirt parking lot located on the corner of California and Fry. Please wear closed toed shoes and it is strongly recommend to bring a water bottle. There is no pre-sign up form - you will sign in, upon arrival.

On the left hand side when you walk in, there is a group sign in sheet our group will use to get signed in (tell them you are with Jackie's group). Paula, our Food Bank manager will be on site the day our group comes in. She, or her data team that sits up at the front of the food bank, will greet you and get you all set up.

Plan to wear clothing you don't mind getting wet, with larger groups we usually need support with cleaning the crates our food is stored and transported in, as well as washing our food delivery trucks!
