Distance; A bit over 7km, definitely get your 10,000 steps in.
Spring’s in full flirt, and so are we. Join Eat, Drink and Dance Melbourne for a breezy, scenic urban walk designed to connect good people through great conversation and Melbourne’s most iconic sights.
We’ll kick off at Beachcombers Café with a smile and a caffeine boost, then meander past Albert Park Lake (yes, we’re choosing the swans 🦢), through the Aquatic Centre, and up to the Shrine of Remembrance for a moment of awe. From there, it’s a cheeky pre-soak in the Botanical Gardens Visitor Centre — think shade, chats, and maybe a brew — before we glide toward Federation Square via the grand St.Kilda road footpath alongside the gardens, the floral clock and end up at the Transport bar to recover.
✨ Expect:
- Plenty of pit stops for chats, coffee, and cheeky photo ops
- Easy exit points if you need to duck out early
- A relaxed pace and welcoming vibe — no speedwalking, just social walking
- A final brew or bite near Fed Square to toast new connections
Whether you’re single, social, or just spring-curious, this walk is your chance to meet kindred spirits, soak up the sunshine, and rediscover Melbourne’s charm — one step, one smile, one swan at a time.
RSVP now and let’s walk, talk, and spark something new.
Because connection doesn’t need a dance floor — just a good path and great company.
Please Note:
Try turning up around 12.45pm if you want to grab a coffee. I'll probably be there around then. I'll leave a comment on the day on who to look for in case you don't me or anyone
No responsibility will be taken for your personal safety or your belongings so please look after yourself.
We'll have minor stops at the aquatic centre and the Botanic gardens centre for bathroom or refreshments and to mix up the walking companions if you want to and meet other friendly people.
I'll try to introduce people, but I may also be overwhelmed with new people and names, it wasn't long ago that I came out of the trees and if you know my dumb jokes, it's where I want to go back lol. So my memory is pretty bad. Just feel lucky that I can tell the difference between cats and dogs!
So just start talking to people and introduce yourself, Ive found people are very friendly in Melbourne and it helps if you bring your friendly and smiley face 😉
