🚲 Eat Drink Dance Melbourne: The Grand Urban Bike Loop — Flirty, Leafy & Full‑Circle Fun

Ready to stretch your legs, wake up those “long‑forgotten” cycling muscles, and glide through Melbourne’s prettiest corridors with a crew that knows how to mix movement, mischief, and good company? Join us for a long, relaxed, social urban ride that loops the city in one big, scenic swoop — starting and finishing at Skyline Ferris Wheel and the 🥰Love Cafe

### Before you consider joining this event, read the group rules section at the end ###

🌿 The Route: A Melbourne Love Letter on Two Wheels
We roll out from the Skylight be Erris Wheel and hit the Capital City Trail eastward, cruising under canopies of green until we meet the Outer Circle Rail Trail at the Eastern Freeway. From there, we weave through the leafy middle suburbs toward Oakleigh, letting the pace stay friendly, chatty, and delightfully unhurried.

Next, we slip onto the Rosstown Rail Trail toward Elsternwick, glide down to Elwood Beach, and join the sparkling Bay Trail all the way to Port Melbourne. Sun, sea breeze, and a bit of flirtatious drafting encouraged.

Finally, we arc back along bike paths to where it all began — Transport Bar — for a well‑earned snack, drink, and post‑ride glow.

🚆Choose Your Own Adventure
There are multiple train stations along the way, so you can peel off whenever you’ve had your fill — or stay with the group for the full, triumphant circuit. No pressure, no peloton politics.

⏱️Pace & Breaks
This is a relaxed ride, perfect for:

  • Warming up sleepy muscles
  • Building confidence from previous urban rides
  • Chatting, laughing, and rolling as a social pack

We’ll take a short break roughly every 3/4 hour to hydrate, snack, have lunch at a cafe if we find one, stretch, and exchange a little friendly banter.

🔧What to Bring

  • Your bike (any style welcome)
  • Helmet (required)
  • Bike lock
Spare inners and tools for the unlikely tyre flat
    Sun screen
  • Water + snacks
    Consider RACV Bike assist
for $24/year (Ger Arevco Bike navigation app for discount)
  • A sense of humour and a willingness to flirt with the breeze, the route, and maybe a rider or two

🍻 Finish Line
We end where we began — Skyline Ferris Wheel — for a celebratory bite and drink. Think of it as your medal ceremony, but with better lighting and more winks.

Group Rules and Event Etiquette

Fitness Requirements:
Riding: 10 to 15km/hr

Ensure you have adequate fitness, it's unfair for the group to wait extended periods for you. You may be asked to exit the event as a consequence.

Very Fast or Very Slow People
As a group activity the organiser can't manage the group if people are everywhere, please consider going by yourself, joining faster groups or having adequate fitness or be asked to exit the event.

Busy People
Best to give yourself some wiggle room, or not attend the event if you have time constraints. Things rarely go to time, especially when having fun.

⚠️+++VERY IMPORTANT+++

People Who Do A No Show.
This is too common for small group events, there may be people on a waitlist wanting to come on the event and hence very inconsiderate. Remove yourself from the going list at least 24 hours before the event to give people on the waitlist an opportunity. If you do a No Show you will likely be removed and blocked from the group.

If you remove yourself from the event an hour or two before the event (flaking) you may also be blocked and removed from the group if there is a waitlist, very unfair to those people.

People Not On The Going List
This is a major security concern, DO NOT TURN UP RANDOMLY.You will be asked to leave the event unless you have made arrangements with the organiser PRIOR to the event.

People Who Are Late
You will be left behind and or removed and blocked from the group as a No Show. It is your responsibility to communicate with the organiser if you will be late. It's up to you to catch up. This may not be possible for some events.

🤔Second Chances
Please communicate with the organiser if you do not want to be blocked and removed from the group

🚩Disclaimer: No Liability & Organiser Indemnity
By participating in this event, you acknowledge and accept full personal responsibility for your own safety, wellbeing, and belongings. The organiser assumes no liability for injury, loss, or damage incurred during the activity. Participation is entirely at your own risk.
