Happy Hours: 5pm to 7pm.
Yey, cheap beer/ wine/vodka
If your heart beats a little faster at the sight of a cabbage roll, if youâve ever felt spiritually connected to a pierogi, or if you simply believe that vodka is a love language, then darling â this night was practically brewed in a Polish cauldron just for you.
Please note: This event is waitlisted to allow an even mix of genders, there is a creep code and event rules especially around no shows in operation. Read on for how this works. Decisions are made at the discretion of the organiser.
Weâre taking Eat Drink Dance Melbourne on a delicious detour to Borsch, Vodka & Tears â the iconic, moody, EasternâEuropean den of temptation on 174 Chapel St, Windsor, a stoneâs throw from Windsor and Prahran stations.
Perfect for lovers of European culture, Slavic sass, ex-Polish scouts like me and communal tables where sparks tend to fly.
đ Whatâs happening?
At 6pm, glide in, grab a drink, and let the warm glow of Polish hospitality (and vodka) soften the edges of your day.
Weâll mingle, flirt, banter, and then settle into communal tables â the perfect setup for mixing, matching, rotating, and discovering who pairs best with your pierogi.
đïžExpect:
- Flirty banter that warms you faster than a shot of ƻubrówka
- Communal table mischief as we shuffle seats and sample the âlocal produceâ
- EasternâEuropean comfort food that hugs you from the inside
- Vodka flights that may or may not improve your flirting technique
- A singlesâonly vibe â married people, this oneâs not for you
Thereâs no hard finish time â if the chemistry is flowing, the pierogi are steaming, and the conversation is getting delightfully unhinged, stay as long as your heart (and liver) desires
đ„ Who should come?
- Lovers of European culture, Slavic humour, Ladyboy wannabes, and moody candlelit dining
- Singles who prefer IRL sparks over swiping fatigue
- People who enjoy a little cultural flavour with their flirting
- Anyone who believes romance is best served with butterâfried pierogi
đ Flirtation Guidelines
This is a social event, not a pressure cooker.Donât be pushy about phone numbers â let the moment offer itself
If the vibe is mutual, go for it
Become a regular â Iâll be testing this format over 3â4 events
Youâll likely see the same lovely humans again at future singles nights/events or Eat Drink Dance âopenâ events
The goal is to build a small, recurring ecosystem where people feel comfortable, familiar, and relaxed enough to be themselves.
đ„Waitlist & Gender Ratios
To keep things balanced and comfortable:
Event capped at 12 people to test interest, if my star signs are in favour I may increase this to 20
Generally guys admitted only after a woman registers (to maintain ratios) at my discretion.
Female Privilege: New Idea
There is usually a waitlist of men. The first female that discretely messages the organiser gets first dibs on any guy that is on the waitlist to have him included. Assuming this occurs within 12 hours of being put into the going list. Otherwise the organiser chooses.
Women can be a little flaky (we love them anyway), so I may accept 1â2 extra
đ§The Creep Code
A refined social compass keeps the vibe safe, fun, and dramaâfree.
So: No married/Seperated individuals or those already coupled up (generally)
No Tinder Swindlerâstyle minglers
Guys: Please Take Special Note
Must have a clear face photo (no sunglasses, no blurry shadows, no âmysterious man in witness protectionâ)
Don't obscure your identity in other words.
- No wide shots taken from a distance where you can't be identified.
- No yacht/car/jet flexing â if your profile screams âcryptoâadjacentâ, you will be gently declined.
- If you are declined, update your profile photo to something less creepy and more classy
Girls: No restrictions â privacy and safety firstâ
â ïž SMALL EVENT EXPECTATIONS â ïž
â°Late Arrivals
The event starts on time.
- More than 15 minutes late without communication = Noâshow
- More than 30 minutes late (even with communication) = Not admitted = No Show. Better to join the next event if you haven't been mysteriously disappeared from the group.
- We do not endlessly wait at meeting points. If youâre late, you must find the group yourself.
- Messages are not monitored after 30 minutes.
- This protects the experience for people who arrive on time
đ» NoâShow
Noâshows block waitlisted people from attending and disrupt small-group events
- Remove yourself at least 24 hours before the event
- Noâshows will likely be removed and blocked from the group
- Lastâminute cancellations (âflakingâ) may also result in group removal, especially when there is a waitlist.
đ Attending Without Being on the Going Lis
- This is a security issue
- Do NOT turn up unannounced
- If youâre not on the Going list and havenât arranged it with the organiser beforehand, you will be asked to leave.
- Event checkâins are performed
Communication
If there is an issue communicate with the organiser, otherwise group removal may eventuate, depending on my horoscope
đ±Why This Event Exist
A few people have asked me to run something for singles, and Meetup is already full of solo attendees. Dating apps feel like a minefield, and IRL conversations tend to be and are rare and sometimes awkward. So this is an experiment â a softâlaunch into a more human, more organic way of meeting people for singles.
