Your Gut: The Second Brain

"You are what you eat!" You’ve heard it before, but its impact goes far beyond physical health. The food you consume doesn’t just shape your body—it influences your mind.

Ever had a "gut feeling"? That’s because your gut and brain are deeply connected through the enteric nervous system (ENS), often called the "second brain." Emotions like stress, sadness, joy, and fear are often felt in the gut. Just as mental health impacts digestion, what you eat directly affects your emotional and cognitive well-being.

Today, more people than ever struggle with mental health issues like depression and anxiety. While psychiatric medications can help, they often come with side effects and the risk of addiction. But what if the key to better mental health is on your plate?

It's time to take charge of your well-being—starting with what you eat. Are you ready?

Join this talk by SHARAN Founder Dr Nandita Shah (visiting from India) to learn how you can make small changes to see quantum gains in your health.

There will be a general question and answer session at the end.
