Hello: I'm Christopher! Looking for a way to clear your head and meet some new friends in a chill creative way? A drum circle is a fantastic way to connect with the rhythms of life and the earth but also to cleanse your soul. If you own a Djembe, Conga, Bongo, Cajón, etc... I'd love you to join! While I’m no Djembe expert, I’ve got a solid background on the drum kit. I can provide very basic instruction but this is not a teaching class. All levels are welcome, however, please make sure you can hold a steady beat, count smoothly, and match the rhythm of the group. Meetings are held at local EC and Chippewa parks on weekday evenings, weekends, and by enough folks requesting - possibly a sunrise, sunset, or solstice meetup. We would start the circle with a few deep cleansing breaths, a peaceful demeanor, and a slow- steady pace mostly sticking to 4/4 time, though 6/8 is totally welcome too. The main point of this group is to have a community outlet for people that is free, engaging, positive, and gets us outside! I can't wait to drum with you :-)
