Meet National Cohousing ED Trish Becker over lunch at Berkeley Cohousing

Details

Free in-person light lunch this Wednesday: Meet National Cohousing Association Executive Director Trish Becker at Berkeley Cohousing.

Get a rare opportunity to see the city's first cohousing neighborhood. Learn about the state of the movement around the country, and how you and your group can participate and get the help you need in finding, forming, and building community. Enjoy free bagels from Boichik, rated "Best New York Bagel" by the New York Times.

The event and community will be photographed so CohoUS can tell the story of Cohousing with professional photos. Please confirm your consent to be included in pictures with your RSVP.

Open to all, but RSVP is required so we can be sure to have enough bagels for you.

RSVP here on MeetUp, or if you prefer, on the main East Bay Cohousing website:

About Trish
A social worker to the core, Trish brings over a decade of experience working in nonprofit and higher education with a focus on community engagement, strategic partnerships and event design. For the past 7 years, she has served as the Director of Community Engagement at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW), leading community engagement initiatives and creating gatherings that advance social justice. Her consulting group, Storyspring Consulting, provides strategy, facilitation and coaching to nonprofits, social changemakers, and intentional communities.

Trish is a founding member of Denver's Aria Cohousing and Chase Street Commons, a micro-village built upon the principles of cohousing. She is a Tedx speaker and a passionate advocate for housing solutions that address our collective crises of loneliness, environmental degradation and housing inaccessibility. Above all, she believes that humans need one another for meaning and survival, and that collective housing is poised to be among the signature movements of our time.
