It all begins at home. Aging in Place — adapting your home so you can stay in it as you get older — is a good start. But it's not nearly enough. Aging in Community is a more robust concept, and there are more paths into it than most of us realize.
Join the Pass It On Network (PION), a collective of folks all over the world working on new opportunities in aging, for a global view and practical options, with a talk and conversation led by Cohousing Coach Raines Cohen, Aging-in-Community author & community organizer.
Longtime PIONeer, Raines Cohen, will map the landscape of possibilities — senior cohousing, intergenerational neighborhoods, EcoVillages, intentional communities, and models from Europe. Human longevity has grown dramatically over the past century, but our attitudes about what home means, and how we relate to our neighbors, have lagged behind.
What new Aging In Community choices emerge everywhere? What are their potential and limits? And who is moving it forward in new ways?
| Whether you're actively exploring alternatives or simply curious about what's possible, this is a chance to expand your sense of what aging-in-community could look like. |
