Well, the holidays are upon us!! So lets spend some money that isn't real on stuff that doesn't matter! Its Market Mechanic games! Tonight were playing games with a shopping element in them. As you can imagine, this includes a very wide array of games!
As our last Monday night game night of the year, we've got a great line up of games!!
Bret will be hosting JOKKMOKK: THE WINTER MARKET --
The tranquil city of Jokkmokk has hosted a world-famous market and folk festival every February for over four hundred years.
In Jokkmokk: The Winter Market, you gather your family members for a lovely trip around the merchant's stalls of the folk festival. Will you focus on gathering souvenirs and trinkets? Will you enjoy the sights and sounds of winter in northern Sweden?
Frankie will be hosting CONTAINER. a game about big ships and big production. Each player will play both as a producer and shipper of goods. Players will decide which products they want to produce, and which of the OTHER players' goods they want to ship out to a remote island. During these phases, players will be able to set the prices for their goods and try to maximize their cash!
Justin will be hosting RA! Ra is an auction and set-collection game with an Ancient Egyptian theme. Each turn players are able to purchase lots of tiles with their bidding tiles (suns). Once a player has used up his or her suns, the other players continue until they do likewise, which may set up a situation with a single uncontested player bidding on tiles before the end of the round occurs. Tension builds because the round may end before all players have had a chance to win their three lots for the epoch.
And Gabi will be hosting SPELENDOR, the classic market game where your spending power increases and multiplies with each turn. You'll have to think a few turns ahead in this highly addictive and beautiful game set in the ancient middle east.
