GAMES FOR PRIDE! @ Hesher's Pizza & Taproom / Oakland

What things we have to celebrate!! Its our 350th meetup, the East Bay Gamers Guild will be 10 years old, and its our first ever PRIDE game night!!

Join us for a fun celebratory night of cake, laughter, and gay games!

Summer is officially here and that means the boys put on their short shorts and tank tops and the dykes rip thru on their bikes!! Its PRIDE month and to celebrate were playing games that in some way have to do with queerness!!

Whether its a game that directly adresses queerness in Victorian times or just a game with a brightly colored board, we'll be playing lots of fun games!!

We'll have an absolutely stellar line up of games!!

Both Bret and Kunal will be hosting MOLLY HOUSE! -- Players take the roles of the gender-defying mollies of early eighteenth century London. Throw grand masquerades and cruise back alleys while evading moralistic constables who seek to destroy your community. Be careful, there may even be informers in your midst!

Frankie will be hosting ARBOREA! With its stunningly brightly colored board, players play as nature spirits guiding your villagers to heal and grow the landscape around them by sending them on pilgrimages and building your personal Ecosystem.

Justin will be hosting WAVELENGTH! Another brightly colored game where you must read your teammates minds. A social guessing party game in which two teams compete to read each other's minds, teams take turns rotating a dial to where they think a hidden bullseye is located on a spectrum.

And Caroline will be hosting FOR THE QUEEN! A card-based story-building game that you and up to five other players can begin playing in minutes. Choose your queen from among fourteen gorgeously varied illustrations—or start from scratch—and use the prompt cards to collaboratively tell a story of love, betrayal, doubt, and devotion. Lots of queer options here!

This event begins at 6pm with games beginning around 6:30 / 7pm. Games fill up on a first come first serve basis. No worries if you arrive after 7, just know that you may have to partner up or hang out until a new round of gaming begins.
