Coyote Creek Trail Ebike Ride-Metcalf to Anderson Reservoir-Only Ebike Trail

Details

This beautiful, all time classic ebike ride is for beginners to advanced riders. No streets, no cars, just ebike trails that are mostly flat. Ride is on easy asphalt ebike trail, and sometimes an occasional easy dirt trail. One short steep uphill section when we head up to Anderson Reservoir.

Before you RSVP for this ride, PLEASE READ THESE RIDE DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY.

All departure and return times are approximated. Please keep this in mind if you were going to make plans to return at a certain time, which is discouraged.

ARRIVE: 9:15 AM to meet and greet at Coyote Creek Trail at Metcalf parking lot, off of Monterey Rd. in South San Jose. About 50 yards south of the house at 7406 Forsum Rd., along Monterey Rd.
[Restrooms available near by.]
LEAVING: 9:30 AM sharp.
Return: around 3:00 PM

Ride is on the Coyote Creek ebike trail, leaving from Coyote Creek Trail at Metcalf parking lot. We will head south along the asphalt Coyote Creek Trail, following most of the time the beautiful Coyote Creek. We will pass near the Coyote Creek golf course, an R/C airplane flying field, and some abandoned farm houses and chicken barns. We will have the opportunity to do some short single track dirt roads that are easy, and beautiful. After about 10 miles of riding, we arrive at the base of Anderson dam, and head up a somewhat steep road to the boat launch. From there, we will do an intermediate dirt trail up some hills with nice views of the reservoir (almost empty of water). We then will head back to Metcalf the same way we came, with a stop at the Anderson Lake County Park where we will be able to eat our picnic lunch on picnic tables along the creek. Please bring your picnic lunch and drink, as there are no places to stop for food or drink along this trail.

Bring an extra battery if you cannot do 20 miles on a single battery, or if you don't like to pedal a lot!
