EBIKETreks meet 2-3 times a month and ride e-bikes in various conditions and terrain. Our rides are designed to enjoy, test and learn about what our bikes do in a social environment whether on or off-road. We try to alternate between on road and off road experiences and adventures, usually trying to explore a new place, climb a new hill, or enjoy the best roads and trails that California has to offer.
You don't need to be an avid cyclist to ride with us, nor do you need to be in tip-top shape normally. We meet to have fun and enjoy the ride. We also meet to learn more about ebikes from other ebikers and spread the word about ebikes by being an example on the road or trail.
We ride around the San Francisco Bay area and sometimes beyond. We've been to Tahoe, Calistoga and Monterey and have plans for Yosemite, Santa Barbara and beyond.
You also don't need to own your own bike! If you are don't have an e-bike, or some one you'd like to ride with doesn't have an e-bike, we have bike for rent, both road bikes and off-road bikes for just $100 per day. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Motostrano in Redwood City at 650-918-6259 or EBIKELANE in San Francisco at 415-580-1452
This is a re-animated version of the famous Old Cemeteries of the Coast Ebike Ride that nature so cruelly prevented us from experiencing last Sunday. The skies are now blue. The fields are still green and the wildflowers are popping up and down the coast.
"I love old cemeteries and I love new ones too, so this meet-up will start at our usual haunt in downtown Half Moon Bay and we'll try to hit 3 old cemeteries (by California standards anyway) with burials dating from the 1800's to today. One of them is freshly renewed after being buried itself for years and is now a natural burial site and has some of the best views on the coast. So, let's ride, be glad we're alive and pay some respect to the old souls and sites that are on the green coast with this ebike ride.
The ride will start an end in downtown Half Moon Bay. It's 17 miles to Pescadero and 17 back and half of it is on coastal back roads, through ranch and farm towns, open space and redwood forest. It can be cold, windy and wet, but this ride is always among my post popular due to the incredible views and great riding conditions.
Bring a jacket, gloves, water, sunscreen, a spare battery if you want. Bring food or we eat in Pescadero before heading back.
This is a technical climb up hill offering beautiful rocky country side and sweeping views of the Napa Valley below. Max number of riders: 5
As this is a technical off-road ride, requirements include that you ride a performance oriented mid-drive ebike either Full Suspension or Hard Tail that can handle extreme off-road conditions.
