Coyote Lake to Anderson Lake in Gilroy-Ebike with No Cars-Ebike trails only!
Details
We will ride the newly opened trails from Coyote Lake to near Anderson Lake. These trails are rather steep in places, and so a high torque mid-drive ebike or strong rear hub drive is recommended. Intermediate to advance riders only. We will not be speeding on these trails, so pace will be leisurely, as the scenery is spectacular. Bring your picnic lunch, as we will stop in a nice spot in the hills to eat lunch. Estimate 20 mile total ebike ride distance, with hilly conditions, so a second ebike battery may be necessary, depending on how much you pedal. Numerous wildlife will be encountered. Wild turkeys, deer, birds of all sorts. Bring binoculars if you like. Spectacular views of the lake from numerous lookouts.
All departure and return times are approximated. Please keep this in mind if you were going to make plans to return at a certain time, which is discouraged.
Park at Mendoza Ranch Parking, Coyote Lake - Harvey Bear Ranch, off of Roop Rd. Parking is free, but spots can be scarce on busy days. Meet and greet at 10:45am, rolling at 11am.

I will be camping at the Coyote Lake campground from Sunday until Tuesday, for those that would like to join. If you prefer ebiking on Sunday or Tuesday instead of Monday, let me know, and we can do it. Campsites are still available. I have reserved site #6 (RV site, with full hookups). I will have my Starlink high speed internet available to all.
Note that there is poor cell service in the park. If you need to contact me, please do it before 10:30am by telephone or email. Paul Trainer (650) 387-8502 or paulwtrainer@gmail.com
