About us

Are you a spiritual adventurer? Do you yearn to explore the far reaches of spiritual consciousness? The purpose of this group is to provide a common meeting ground for all who have had, or would like to have, a life-changing spiritual experience.

Our goals are to help each other,

validate and gain insight into our own spiritual experiences,
understand what our experiences really mean, and
learn new and advanced ways of exploring our inner worlds.

This Meetup group is sponsored by Eckankar of California as a spiritual resource for people of all faiths and beliefs. Eckankar is the Path of Spiritual Freedom, an individual, creative practice to explore and understand the variety of spiritual experiences, such as lucid or significant dreams, out-of-body travel, past life recall, or encounters with spiritual masters—and to grow from these experiences, bringing more meaning, purpose and joy to daily life.

Individuals and families of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome. This Meetup site and its events are supported by the Eckankar Center of Sacramento, serving Sacramento and surrounding counties. We are located at 2641 Cottage Way, Suite 7, in the city of Sacramento. The Center hosts in-person and online events for spiritual seekers and members of Eckankar, and has free books and other materials available for those who wish to learn more.

What if every experience in your life, even the difficult ones, is exactly what you need?

What if life itself came with a hidden agreement, one designed to help you grow, learn, and find your way home?

Come to the Eckankar Center of Sacramento to explore more about your Golden Contract with life, a simple but profound idea: every encounter, without exception, is there to move you forward on your spiritual journey. This includes relationships, challenges, joys, and even losses.

It suggests that life is not random — that we carry a deeper purpose into this world, and that the things that seem to happen to us actually happen for us.

You're invited for a relaxed, open conversation as we explore ways of working with life rather than against it. We will touch on:

The idea of spiritual purpose and what we may have chosen before this life
How karma (cause and effect) works as a learning tool rather than a burden
Why gratitude may be the most practical and effective spiritual practice of all

We'll share a brief spiritual exercise singing HU, an ancient name for God, as a gentle way to open our hearts and quiet our minds to explore our Golden Contract with life.

You're welcome to share your own experiences and insights or simply listen. All are welcome, regardless of background or belief.
