About us
Welcome to the Ecstatic Dance Temple®
We run Ecstatic Dance, Conscious Movement events held in healthy, smoke-free, drug and alcohol-free environments.
More info on our events here: https://urubu-events.eventbrite.com/
Without drugs or alcohol express yourself. Sweat your prayers on the dance floor. Let it out and connect with yourself and with others in a fresh new way. Breathe deeply and ground your attention inwards. The invitation for this evening is to begin to quiet the mind and enter into your body temple, befriending all that you may find.
"Each of us is a moving centre, a space of divine mystery. And though we spend most of our time on the surface in the daily details of ordinary existence, most of us hunger to connect to this space within, to break through to ecstatic states of consciousness, to be swept away." -Gabrielle Roth
Ecstatic Dance/ Movement Meditation is an opportunity to find freedom in our own ability to feel and move with all that is and with everything that arises in our body, heart and mind! This practice encourages moving with a grounded body, focus, abandon, grace and ease.
There is no experience necessary, just a willingness to move and be moved!
Classes are facilitated by Seth Newman, Seth is an Art of Being© graduate, IATE Graduate, Bioenergetics practitioner, certified Trance Dance teacher and is the pioneer of live music ecstatic dance events in the UK, with his band the Urubu Collective. He brings a wealth of experience holding heart centred spaces.
