What we’re about

Hello expats & repats in Edinburgh!

Isn't Edinburgh a fabulous city - there is so much to see and do! That said, if you are relatively new here, you might be getting used to the steps and the howling winds :). Expat life can throw some curve balls and challenges in a way that makes you feel you have a few extra steps to climb. It calls on us to use our resilience and self-reliance, can sometimes be a bit lonely and, for sure at the beginning, can impact how we feel like ourselves.

Negotiating your way through the changes, transitions and decisions that expat life brings is exciting but sometimes we need a little support from those who know what it is really like to job search in a new city, to start your kids into a new school system, to live and/or work in a new culture and to make connections whilst moving forward in a purposeful way. Our international life brings full flavour and an extra factor into all parts of what we do.

As a repat, I know what it is like to move abroad and to move back. I have a lifelong interest in what it means to thrive in this expat life, which has led me to study it and work in international HR. Now as a coach (where over 80% of my clients have been expats), I want to create a safe space to connect, to share stories and to find support. I've worked abroad, not worked abroad, given birth abroad, moved kids across education systems, bought and sold houses whilst on the move, started my own business abroad and moved it home with me....and I love to connect with people who are creating their own expat stories.

That's why I now work as a coach, helping those who are living on the move to connect with themselves and build an expat life that is full of meaning and purpose.

In this meet up group I organise free online 1:1 coaching calls and group sharing circles. Everyone is welcome to join!
