Wendy McMurdo | The Digital Mirror
Details
Let’s meet on Sunday 14 June at 1pm in the main hall of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery on Queen Street, then explore this newly opened exhibition together.
Entrance to this exhibition is free.
Wendy McMurdo: The Digital Mirror is the artist’s largest exhibition to date, bringing together 20 years of striking photographic work. Her images explore childhood, learning, make-believe and the digital world, from the early days of computer-based learning in schools to the rise of the internet and online gaming.
McMurdo is known for her pioneering use of digital tools in photography, creating thought-provoking images that feel both familiar and slightly uncanny.
We’ll go through the exhibition at a relaxed pace, with time to chat about the works as we go.
