About us
I have decided to set up this group to give adult amateur pianists, of ALL abilities and ages, the chance to gain valuable performance experience in front of a friendly and supportive crowd of fellow pianists. The meetups will take place in the beautiful Edinburgh Society of Musicians who have two fabulous Steinway grand pianos and a stunning view over Dean village.

*** Important Venue Update ***
Due to the temporary closure of the Edinburgh Society of Musicians, our July, August and September events will be held at the Music Hub, Stockbridge Parish Church, where we'll have the use of their beautiful Steinway grand piano.
As venue costs at the Music Hub are significantly higher than our usual venue, the entry fee for these three events will be £13.00 per person. Once we return to the Edinburgh Society of Musicians, the fee will return to the usual £10.00.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Edinburgh Piano Meetup Group.So, come and enjoy a relaxed and inspiring afternoon of piano music in our temporary summer home in Stockbridge.
Whether you're a total beginner, returning to the piano after a break, preparing for an exam, or simply want to listen and meet others who love piano music, you're very welcome.Any style or genre of music is encouraged - classical, jazz, pop, original compositions - it's all about sharing and enjoying music together.
Important – Please Read Before You RSVP⏰ Playing time limit:
- Each performer has a maximum of 5 minutes total. That includes any brief introduction or chat. Please keep within your time so that everyone gets a fair chance to play. If there's time left at the end, you're very welcome to play again.
Payment:
The temporary entry fee is £13.00 per person, whether performing or listening.
