Edmonton Let's Dance! A fun Night for People 55+

Hello dancers! It is time to get ready for another high-energy night with Edmonton Let’s Dance. We are thrilled to invite you to join the group for an evening featuring one of our local favorites, Rave On. If you love the classic sounds of the '50s, '60s, and '70s, this is a night you won't want to miss. Known for their incredible energy and a playlist that keeps the dance floor packed all night long, so whether you’re a pro on the floor or just looking to enjoy some great music with even better company, come out and show our community spirit. We will be gathering for 7:00 with the music kicking off at 8:00. Our group is all about having fun, staying active, and building community, so we usually grab a few tables together to keep the party central. Just look for the Edmonton Let’s Dance signs or head straight toward the music. It is a welcoming environment designed for everyone 55 and older, so feel free to come solo or bring a friend along for the fun.
As a quick reminder, I’ve implemented a small $5 annual membership fee on March 1st to help cover the administrative costs of our Meetup group. If you haven't had a chance to pay your 2026 dues yet, you can easily take care of that at this event—just look for me, when you arrive or e-transfer to paulboleska@shaw.ca. Please make sure to RSVP so we can ensure there is enough space for everyone to sit and socialize between sets. Calling all dancers! We have a real treat lined up as we head out to catch one of Edmonton’s most electrifying acts, The Black & Blues Band, featuring the powerhouse vocals of Jana Jasper. This rhythm and blues show band blends old-school grit with a modern, soulful edge, creating an infectious, interactive groove that makes it impossible to stay in your seat. For those of us who saw them perform last April, we know firsthand what a fantastic evening they provide, making this the perfect opportunity for our 55+ community to get together, share some laughs, and support world-class local talent. Admission is $10 at the door, and since there is no tab or debit available for the cash-only bar, please remember to bring along some cash for the night. To make your arrival easy, there is reasonably priced parking located at the back of the building where you can simply enter through the back door. Hello everyone! We’re heading to the heart of Whyte Avenue for a classic Edmonton experience on. Saturday afternoons at Blues on Whyte are always a blast, and I’d love for our 55+ crowd to join us for some great music and even better company. We’ll be taking in the Iconic Jam hosted by the one and only Gary Martin, a 2024 Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee, so you know the music is going to be top-tier. You can expect authentic, soulful blues, along with a lot of soft rock and iconic hits from the '70s that will definitely get your feet tapping and moving toward the dance floor.
The music starts at 3:00 PM, but we are meeting at 2:30 PM to grab a good spot and socialize before it gets busy. Admission for the afternoon jam is free, but please remember to bring cash because there is no tab or debit available—it is a cash-only bar. If this is your first time out to this kind of event, I guarantee you won’t regret taking the time out for yourself.
