Physical Computing Meetup

Details

We have two demos / presentations this month!

Craig Sherstan and Rory Dawson, from the Blinc Lab at the UofA, will be demonstrating a robotic arm they've built and showing how it can be controlled using electrical signals from your muscles. Prosthetics, AI, and 3D printers!

Tactalis is an Alberta Startup company that is creating a tactile computing experience for the visually impaired. Graham Nelson from NEDlabs will be sharing about prototyping techniques and design challenges from creating the "blue sky" Origin product from scratch.

---

Physical computing deals with how people use hardware and software to sense and respond to the analog world. If you're interested in robotics, interactive art, new ways of interacting with computers, arduinos, kinects, and more - this is an opportunity to learn more about how people are using some of these things and meet some of the people in the community who are working on them.
