Are you a novice beer drinker and just want to know more so you can find beers you'll like? Are you curious about what all the hype is around craft beers? Are you interested in brewing your own beer right in your kitchen? Come find out more!

APRIL MEETING: "Beginning Brewing: Best Practices"

  • Having taken part in several first brews (of my own and other Women and Beer ladies), I've come to realize that, while the web has a plethora of recipes and advice, there are still some really useful "tips" that are missing...ie: if you're planning on brewing a 5-gallon batch, have a fermentation vessel that's at least 6.5 gallons! (Why? Come and find out.....) For our April meeting, I'll be leading a discussion on these very helpful tips. So if you’re planning your first (or 5th brew), this meeting’s for you!
  • For those who just wanna learn and taste, WoW will again be buying us a round as part of the Guided-Tasting portion of our meeting.
  • I'll also have updates on Queen of Beers (a national women-brewers-only homebrew competition taking place later this year).

BACKGROUND: Women and Beer is a Meet-Up supported by Worts of Wisdom (WoW), our local homebrew club. As a female novice beer drinker/brewer and WoW member, I've had a great time tasting and learning. Now, I know that there must be other women interested in (or at least curious about) beer so it is my mission to find and unite us in our goal towards better beer fulfillment! Hope to see you at Fibbar's, toni
