HIKE in beautiful nature area named Valley Meijendel.
and for those who want , optional join me for a dip in the sea.

We will be flexible and build up this event according the weather. So longer hike, or longer stay at the seaside.

May I advice you to bring enough water with you for during the hike and something to eat for the lunch break.

We start hiking in this beautiful nature and at some point we will reach the sea :-)
After the break we will continue hiking. and stop at the Pancake-farm/ Boerderij Meijendel, for a tea, a beer or ice cream or drink together .

Then we will go for the final km's to end again at the parking/ roundabout, where we started.

about the area:
Meijendel has a size of approximately 2000 ha and together with the neighbouring Hollands Duin forms the largest contiguous dune area in South Holland. The name Meijendel arose because a farm had been located in a valley, which was named after the many hawthorns that grew in the area. Behind the sea bar, the narrow strip of dune covered with a helmet, directly on the beach, are several other dune zones. Immediately behind the westernmost first dune strip we find a zone with parabolic dunes and dune valleys with thickets, moist grasslands and swamps with small sedges. The zone afterwards is rich in thickets and bushes, but also bears the traces of past agricultural use. The easternmost dune zone consists of high dunes with low-lime soil. It is an open area with the occasional planted pine or poplar forest. Most infiltration ponds for water extraction are located just behind the westernmost dune strip. On the edge of Meijendel is a monumental water tower. There are also several bunkers from the Second World War in the area.

Every year we do the kayaking from Belgium to Valkenswaard. Of course also this year we'll go!

spending a nice day together including two breaks for picnic and chill-out.

A T T E N T I O N: Together with the Brabant and the ALL SEASONS Adventurers. And the the limit is in total 30 persons! The first 30 persons from whom I have received the payment rent are in.

“It's relaxed to make a tour on the water 18 km's from Belgium to Valkenswaard.
In between we have two breaks.
The food you bring we share all together.
Preferable something selfmade/ cooked or baked by yourself, a cake, a quiche, a salad, fruit or vegetables or ..... as long as it is not a prefab white sandwich in plastic , we will be happy.

HOW TO GET THERE --> We will go to the kayak company by car, if there are not enough cars...by bike or by bus to Valkenswaard.
the kayak-rent-company brings us to Belgium.

Don't forget to bring sun protector because we are on the water all day. maybe also a hat and of course -positive vibes

At the end -when we arrived at the Venbergse watermill with our kayaks, we will have a drink together at "café restaurant Wandelpark" to say goodbye

You don't need to take a day off as Monday is a free national day ;-)

What you should know before you rsvp YES and send a WhatsApp:
For all weekends that I organize there are some policies:

• we expect you to participate with all activities, like hike, kayak etc, cooking, washing up, making a bonfire, helping each other where needed

*no music - no smoking - use phone only in case needed.

Program: going to the camping on Friday, (some after work, some a bit earlier) set up tent, dinner and drink something together and have a cosy talk around the bonfire
Saturday "wake-up" and breakfast together and preparing food for lunch. Day-filling hike. Return to the camping late afternoon/ early evening, preparing dinner - eat and drink together and having a nice evening, around the fire.
Sunday: "wake-up" and breakfast together and preparing food for lunch. This day we will go kayaking if possible. With a break for picnic,
After kayaking we will return to the village and have a drink together at a terrace. Return to the camping late afternoon, preparing dinner - eat and drink together and having a nice evening, around a bonfire.
***kayaking on the river in Luxembourg we cannot guarantee on forehead, ( sometimes the water level is too high, in that case we are not allowed) in that case we agree together an alternative :-)
Monday: having breakfast together and breaking up the tents. Also preparing food for lunch. Further flexible: visiting the waterfalls, some might want to go for an extra hike, others returning to NL a bit earlier. We take a moment together to say goodbye and find our way homewards

costs ± € 210 including : 3 nights camping, 3 times breakfast , 3 times lunch, snacks, fruit, 3 times dinner and the kayak event

• not included the car costs to get there ( we will go with as less cars as possible, and sharing the costs) and alcohol drinks
