Natuurwandelroute N70: The Famous “8 Mountains” Hike
Details
Are you looking for a challenging hiking route? Then join me on this famous hike in Berg en Dal near Nijmegen.
The N70 is one of the most beautiful routes in the Netherlands. It was set out on the basis of the Nature Conservation Year 1970, established by the European Council, and has become a very popular route among nature lovers, hikers and runners since then. It crosses 8 ‘mountains’ through the rolling forests of Berg en Dal and its surroundings. The hilly landscape offers beautiful views of the polders, floodplains and the river landscapes of the rivers Waal and Rhine along the way. The total route is about 14.2 km long with an elevation of 375 meters.
We will start and end at the traditional start point, Hotel ’t Spijker, where we will have our morning coffee and goodbye drinks. We will reach there by public transport (please check NS-app or 9292). If you have a car, please let me know. I’ll check the possibility of carpooling and do the coordination.
We will have a lunch break during the hike, bring your own lunch packet. Please also bring sufficient water and something to sit on ( e.g. plastic bag) as the ground might be wet.
We will do this hike together with Brabant Adventurers and Netherlands All Seasons Adventurers.
If it is your first time, please contact me via WhatsApp (+31 6 81033343) at least 3 days before the event.
