El Dorado Trail @ Amber Fields North

Much of this will be after dark, so bring a light. From the Amber Fields starting point, we'll take the El Dorado Trail north toward Cameron Park. We should hit the spot with a nice westward view of Sacramento and the valley in time to enjoy the sunset. About 3 miles loops, rest is out and back -- out in the light, back in the dark. Expect ~8 miles total, some significant hills and some flat parts. Shorts not recommended as parts of it are often a bit overgrown.

Take South Shingle Road, and turn onto to Amber Fields Drive. Park and gather in the big dirt area at the end of the public part of Amber Fields just before the gate.
