Quarry Trail

Let's hike the Quarry Trail -- home to a famous but sadly blocked off cave, old quarry remnants, interesting rock formations, and the American River's Middle Fork. It's approximately 11 miles total out and back.

Parking lot is $10 if you don't have a state parks pass. Free parking may be available just downhill along the highway, if not full.

Ideally, if we could get somebody parked at the Sweetwater end and ferried down, I'd like to make this a one way trail for at least some of us all the way from the Quarry Trail to Third Gate (off Sweetwater Trail Road). That would make it about 7-8 miles while letting us see more. But if not, we can just do the out and back.
