Catecroft
Details
Free parking along a little dirt road next to the highway just north of Catecroft Lane. Meet at the signed Catecroft trail head right there. Lots of trails out there, we'll explore and try to make a loop of 3-4 hours / 7-11 miles.
Features some grassland, some forest, a creek, old structures, and views of the north fork of the American River from above as we descend into the American River Canyon. Serious hills in the canyon portion. Can be muddy in spots.
Rules reminder:
- No dogs allowed.
- If you can't make it, please try to change your RSVP so that we aren't waiting for you. Even doing it a minute before start time helps.
- You hike at your own risk. We try to keep people from getting lost or injured, but you are ultimately responsible for yourself and knowing your limits.
- Any sort of bigotry (based on gender identity, race, religion, etc.) is unwelcome and would result in removal.
