Monroe Ridge Trail
Details
Let's take advantage of the cool weather (forecast high 89F) to hike Monroe Ridge Loop + Gam Saan in Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park. It's about 5 miles, plenty of hills but no bouldering. Features lots of history, a large statue, good views from the ridge, plenty of shade, and the river.
Parking is $10 if you don't have a pass, but if you downloaded the free historian pass in June/July that'll work. Since most of the parking lots don't have addresses, we'll gather at the one place that does: in front of the museum (outside).
Rules reminder:
- No dogs allowed.
- If you can't make it, please try to change your RSVP so that we aren't waiting for you. Even doing it a minute before start time helps.
- You hike at your own risk. We try to keep people from getting lost or injured, but you are ultimately responsible for yourself and knowing your limits.
- Any sort of bigotry (based on gender identity, race, religion, etc.) is unwelcome and would result in removal.
