E-biking the C&O Canal - 2024 Multi Day Adventure

We are repeating the 2023 C&O Canal tour Adventure as it was a tremendous success with 19 e-bikers. You can sign up for the tour, even if you don't know for sure if you can participate.

Please be aware that seats on the shuttle bus are allocated based on the order of payments received.

SORRY, THE SHUTTLE IS ALMOST SOLD OUT: Only 1 out of 14 shuttle is are available!

You will need to confirm and pay for transportation costs if you use the shuttle from Washington DC two weeks before the tour.

For now, please sign up if you want to explore 184.5 miles of e-biking smiles on the C&O Canal with E-bike Lovers. The tour is for free. You don't need to use the shuttle to participate.

We're thrilled to announce a specially arranged shuttle service from Washington DC NW to Cumberland that is set to embark on an exhilarating journey at 1 PM, September 13, 2024. Further specifics will be communicated in due course.

For those eager to secure a spot on this shuttle adventure for themselves and their cherished e-bikes, we kindly request a Venmo transfer of $50. This is the total cost of one e-biker + one e-bike.

Please be aware that seats on the shuttle bus are allocated based on the order of payments received. It's important to note that our policy does not accommodate cancellations. Such is life with E-bike Lovers.

In the event that you're unable to join us for the shuttle after transferring $50 via Venmo, you have the option to pass your reservation onto another e-bike aficionado who is a Meetup E-bike Lovers member, or take solace in the fact that your contribution will be directed towards the enrichment of E-bike Lovers' future endeavors.

Water on the C&O

Well water in hiker-biker campsites will be signed non-potable. Water from wells at paid campgrounds will remain potable. See more information on www.nps.gov/choh/planyourvisit/conditions.htm

Starting Time

You can start anytime on Saturday from the Cumberland Visitors Center at the starting point of the C&O Canal.

Gregory will have a comprehensive toolset to assist with emergencies if needed, but all riders should bring any gear, tools, etc. they may need if their bike has any problems (tubes, chain repair, basic tools, tire pump or canisters, etc.)

This is not a guided full-service package event. You will need to book accommodations yourself and are responsible for arranging all your travel plans (with the help of group-booked shuttles, as discussed on the detailed tour page). We are not a commercial touring company. You are responsible for your own happiness and safety and everything else.
