GREETINGS ALL! I am wondering if there is any interest to start up a book reading group devoted to the great Elmore Leonard who specialized writing Westerns back in the 1950s, and then evolved into one of the greatest crime writers of he 60s and 70s. David Goodis? Well you either know him or you don't. He was a complicated crime noir writer of the late 40s and 1950s. These aforementioned writers would be the genre I'd love to share books about. It certainly would not be exclusive of these two authors but if you are familiar with their content, you'd get the drift on the types of writing I'd like to focus on with folks. We also can share some of our own short stories -totally optional - in the above genre. Please let me know if there is any interest. If yes, I will work on finding a space that accommodates a certain number of people for his what could be an exciting group.
