Emacs Lisp Hacking Night Kickoff

Hosted By

Details
We are finally resuming our more technical, in-person, evening meetups with a focus on Emacs Lisp. The idea is to cover topics of interest from beginning Elisp coding to advanced techniques. For example:
- fundamental libraries (dash, cl, etc.)
- Core Emacs functionality API (syntax tables, font locking, display-buffer-alist, completing-read, text properties)
- Writing major and minor modes
- Making packages
- org-mode hackery
and so forth.
This initial one will be "lightning talk" style with short talks by individuals interspersed with discussion. If you have a 5-15 minute presentation related to Emacs Lisp, please bring it.
No food is provided but you are welcome to bring some. We will need to clean up after ourselves though.
COVID-19 safety measures
Event will be indoors
The hosts provided an air filter in our conference room. Mask wearing is enthusiastically supported though not required.
The event host is instituting the above safety measures for this event. Meetup is not responsible for ensuring, and will not independently verify, that these precautions are followed.
