Emacs Lisp Hacking Night: Debugging (Hybrid)

Hosted By

Details
We've got an interesting topic for you this time in an oft-neglected area: debugging. Your host has some bad habits in this area and mostly just uses message along with the occasional toggle-debug-on-error to figure out why his code is broken. Join him in leveling up.
Some related resources:
- Jon Eskin debugs an Advent of Code package
- A short demo by Nick Ferrier showing edebug and macrostep
- The manual
- The inevitable System Crafters video
As usual our content is crowdsourced, so bring your short demos, talks, ideas, etc. to share.
This event will again feature remote participation via Big Blue Button. The link is https://bbb.emacsverse.org/b/mic-4uy-qlr-iwf
For IRL attendees, no food is provided but you are welcome to bring some. We will need to clean up after ourselves, though.
Hope to see you there!
COVID-19 safety measures
Event will be indoors
The hosts provided an air filter in our conference room. Mask wearing is enthusiastically supported, though not required.
The event host is instituting the above safety measures for this event. Meetup is not responsible for ensuring, and will not independently verify, that these precautions are followed.
