INTRO & INTENTION:
Hey all, Jared here, the organizer! I'm excited to meet all of you and kick off this Emotion AI meetup series!

Generally I'd love for this meetup to be interactive and participatory, and so in addition to amazing speakers sharing from their expertise, for this first meetup we're going to have a facilitated group discussion on the following questions:

1. What excites those in the room about this meetup and its potential?
2. What directions might we like to explore in this meetup?
3. What is emotion AI or artificial emotional intelligence?

So get those gears turning! :)

GOAL:
The goal of Emotion AI is to provide and facilitate a down-to-earth, friendly, grounded space for folks to learn, to converse, to workshop, to network, and to ideate on the general theme of emotion, feeling, and affect from technical and non-technical perspectives, in service of the question: what is, and how can we realize, artificial emotional intelligence?

FOOD:
There will be pizza and salad provided! No drinks because I'm not a fan of single-use plastic, so please BYO water bottle pre-filled with water :)

PARKING:
There is street parking, but it's downtown SF, so check the signs before you park! There's also apparently a garage a block away at 59 S Van Ness Ave called Goodwill Public Parking Garage. A quick search on Yelp in the area may reveal other options!

7:40pm – 5-min talk + Q&A: Ryan Stellar (Enzyme)
7:50pm – 5-min talk + Q&A: Beth McCarthy (Starfish)

8:00pm – facilitated group discussion on what excites & inspires & interests you about Emotion AI
8:20pm – voluntary 30sec - 1min audience lightning shares

8:30pm – casual breakout
8:45pm – farewell
