Kayaking/ Paddle Board excursion to Nisqually Reach Nature Center

Details

Let's meet at the parking lot of Nisqually Reach Nature Center (there is a boat launch there) around 11:45am on Saturday, August 23. Low tide is at 12:45pm. I'm trying to get us in water about 30 minutes before low tide and then get out an hour after low tide so we don't have to fight any currents and can drift. Bring your own kayak or stand up paddle board, personal floatation device, water shoes, hat, binoculars and any snacks or drinks you may want on your float. I mostly stay in the vicinity of the boat launch; I wander about up to 1/4 of mile in either directions of the boat launch. I like to relax and look at wildlife and not struggle by paddling a lot. If you want to attend and don't have a kayak, I can bring an extra one but you might have to inflate it yourself. I have a pump, it takes about 10 minutes to inflate. You can usually see seals and/or bald eagles up close as well as a variety of water birds.
