What’s your perfectionist said this time?

How creative is your perfectionist getting these days? Can’t release that blog post coz you haven’t researched “enough”? Are you dreading mixing another shade of blue coz you just can’t get that vase quite right.

There is no amount of work that can satiate an inner critic.

No amount of tweaking helps you explore that feeling of not enoughness. Your perfectionist is distracting you with empty promises & a massive to do list. So let’s talk about it.

Inner critics thrive by themselves but they don’t do too well in communities of people who get it, respect the struggle, & can talk about their own.

Despite what your perfectionist tells you, you’re not alone. Your painting, song, standup, blog is allowed to exist as it is. You’re allowed to learn. You’re allowed to release work that’s not “finished” & you absolutely have the right to express yourself (regardless of what stage you’re at).

So let’s put our imperfect heads together, be humans & talk about what it’s like to make art with a backseat driver.
