Looking for a fun way to spend on **X'mas Day Dec 25, 2025** morning? Come join us for 3 hours of exciting badminton and improving badminton. **Please NOTE that we require minimum 12 players for starting this event.** **Cost :** **$15** per person. (cash only) Minimum 6 players per court. Feather birdies provided. **Racquets :** Bring your own racquet. Rentals are available at the club if needed. **Shoes :** Please bring indoor gym shoes and change into them at the club before entering the courts. Winter reminder : Ensure you change into court shoes before stepping onto the courts during the winter months. This event is for the purpose of four players are playing friendly in one badminton game and for all levels of players from beginner to advance. Please do not use this as an opportunity to do training and single games. Attendance in effect - please give at least **48hrs** notice in advance for cancelation so others may have time to react. **LATE CANCELATION AND NO-SHOW MAY BE PERMANENTLY REMOVED FROM THE GROUP AND UNABLE TO REJOIN.**

We'll be walking on the paved path of the Birkdale trail, passing through Thompson park and into the West Highland Creek. We'll walk a distance of ~7.7 km which we will be able to cover in about 1.75 hours, speed will be dependent on weather conditions. Dress in your most outlandish Christmas garb, making sure to dress warm enough for the weather. Crampons might be necessary, so please have them on hand. After the hike we'll go for coffee, details to come (PM me any suggestions of a place in the Brimley and Ellesmere area other than Tim's, McDs, or Starbucks). Our group will leave at the posted time, so please arrive early. Please cancel your RSVP if you can't make it. Bring water and wear footwear comfortable for walking. I have some extra pickle ball paddles and balls if you don’t have one. Definitely bring your own paddle if you have one and bring some balls if you have them.
