Now in its 10th year, the [The Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards](https://www.strathmore.org/nurturing-artists/bernardebb-songwriting-awards/ "Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards") showcases some of the most compelling emerging songwriters from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Finalists take the stage at Strathmore to perform their original work before judges select this year’s winners. We will have open shop hours for anyone to bring their bikes to work on or need help fixing your own bike. We will also have bikes that need to be fixed so you can learn if you like. We will need everyone to sign in when arriving and sign out when leaving so we can keep track of volunteer hours and shop times. Greetings, For the Spring/Summer warm weather season (approximately 6 months), let's meet again for another **Last Saturday of the Month CoffeeRun, CoWork, & Collaboration meeting** at **Union Market in NE DC**. Topics include but are not limited to personal development, accountability, community service, partnerships, projects, and team building with those who share similar values **(readers feel free to bring books; several indoor/outdoor restaurants, bars, lounges, stores, and coffee shops in the market area)**. Join Women & Gender eXpansive Coders DC for brunch at Union Market! We will get a large picnic table outside the main Union Market building. Come for 30 minutes or for the whole time. Meet fellow tech women and nonbinary folx over a cup of coffee or a meal from one of Union Market's many tasty restaurants. Getting there: Union Market is a short walk from the NoMa-Gallaudet University metro (Red line). Parking is usually available in the lot in front of the market, or on the street, although street parking can fill up on busy weekends.

The MD group of the Black Banjo Reclamation Project will be tabling at the Montpelier festival, welcoming in spring with various community organizations, and of course-- Banjos! This festival is FREE for the entire family, hosted by the Montpelier Historic Site & Museum and the Montpelier Arts Center! Explore the Vendor Marketplace, attend a talk on gardening and herbs, tour the Museum, and relax to live music. Beginning at 11am, we will host outdoor performances featuring: the Jane Austen Society of North America – Maryland Region; the Natyabhoomi School of Dance; and Samaria Marley with a special guest. Visit the resident artist’s studios at the Arts Center, watch art demonstrations, paint the Montpelier bird, and create spring-themed crafts. Stroll the galleries and view the exhibitions of Amanda Spaid, Linda Bernard, and the Laurel Art Guild. At 1 pm, join us in the Main Gallery for a free performance by classical guitarist Gwenyth Aggeler.

Come the whole time or if you just spend 30 minutes. All are welcome. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own coloring supplies but, if you don't have any, I will have plenty and am happy to share! (coloring books, colored pencils, and markers). Part of the mission of this group is to provide us an opportunity to check out AND SUPPORT local businesses. We also have gentle-used bicycle parts and accessories such as training wheels, car racks, hitch racks, bike locks, trainers, wheels, rims, frames, bike clothing and other gear. You never know what you can find! We have as-is bikes that need some work or a tune-up that are not quite ready for riding. But perfect if you want a project to work on! Come find out what we do as a local community bike shop and how you can volunteer with us. All proceeds will benefit future RBH programming, including the TERRIFIC Kids bicycle award program in partnership with the City of Rockville, and the purchase of parts, tools and kids helmets.
