Spinoza on Religion & Politics: The Theological-Political Treatise (Part 1)
Baruch Spinoza's *Theological-Political Treatise* (1670), originally published anonymously, is one of the most important and controversial philosophical works of the early modern period. Aiming to "liberate the individual from bondage to superstition and ecclesiastical authority", the work has been characterized as one of the most significant events in European intellectual history, laying the groundwork for ideas about liberalism, secularism, and democracy. In it Spinoza discusses at length the historical circumstances of the composition and transmission of the Bible, demonstrating the fallibility of both its authors and its interpreters. He argues that free enquiry is not only consistent with the security and prosperity of a state but actually essential to them, and that such freedom flourishes best in a democratic and republican state in which individuals are left free while religious organizations are subordinated to the secular power. His Treatise has profoundly influenced the subsequent history of political thought, Enlightenment philosophy, Bible hermeneutics, and textual criticism more generally. The work attracted harsh criticism and vigorous attempts by religious leaders and conservative authorities to suppress his work entirely, with one critic describing it as being "Forged in hell by the apostate Jew working together with the devil".

Do you love to sing?
Do you love performing for live audiences?
The Toronto Accolades Chorus brings women-centric singers together to sing and perform a cappella harmony.
Harmony connects people from all backgrounds, ages, and musical abilities to create a community where you can not only sing, but find a space to connect with other strong and dedicated people just like you.
For decades, we've provided a venue for singers to express themselves, make quality music together, and form bonds beyond measure, and we invite you to join us for the ride.
We welcome guests and work with them to find out their voice range and to determine what part (lead, tenor, baritone or bass) they would sing best. Guests are given a music folder and encouraged to participate in singing with the chorus in subsequent weeks.
Although we continually strive for musical excellence, prior musical training is not necessary to belong to our chorus. We provide everyone with sheet music, audio learning tracks, education and guidance.
At the end of 6 weeks, we ask each prospective member to audition, to ensure that they can hold their part in a four-part harmony song.

Mushroom Medicine Ceremony "Express Yourself"
*This ceremony will be held at our beautiful studio*
*'The Soul Sanctuary'in Leslieville, Toronto*
***Hosted by Chris Dub & Jennifer Mya.***
**Do you want to:**
* Love yourself the way you are, and feel more confident to show people the real you?
* Experience less anxiety, more joy, and move through triggers with more ease and grace?
* Forgive your past self, and move forward feeling empowered by your choices?
* Be held and guided as you look at negative thought patterns, so you can work through the outdated beliefs associated with them?
* Free yourself from worry, and self-doubt, and receive practical tools to pull out the roots of depression?
* Have a life changing spiritual experience, feel incredible gratitude for everything that has brought you to this point, and become the creator of your life moving forward?
**Join us, dear Soul.**
The time is now to rise up into your most empowered Self. To love, forgive, and have unconditional self compassion, unlearning the ways you've been taught to judge your emotions, thoughts, and desires.
***When you feel unconditionally loved and supported, you can more easefully bring forward the gifts you came here to share, and the purpose you came here to fulfill.***
The mind can distract you, and make you question your access to this unconditional love, but when you touch the source of it within you, it clarifies any confusion and you remember that it is your birthright.
***This ceremony is an opportunity to open your heart, and gain control of the mind.***
**Forgive yourself at the deepest level, and allow gratitude to guide you toward freedom.**
When you forgive yourself and those around you, your power flows back into you. Gratitude is the open door to freedom and abundance, and ***when you recognize the gifts of the lessons life has given you - it becomes easier to let go of anger, resentment, and regret***.
As you unravel what has been held and blocked within you, there is a natural alchemy that takes place within the body. Energy that's become stagnant is unfurled, allowing you to open to your natural confidence, peace, and vitality.
***We create and hold you in a loving space to heal and process through old traumas, ancestral karma, and to become more astutely aware of ego identification, leading to freedom, peace, and simplicity.***
**Release negative thought patterns, and rewire your nervous system for harmony and balance.**
This ceremony is a safe space for you to look at the negative thoughts and limiting beliefs that hold you back from feeling your freest, clearest, most fully expressed self. Regulate your system through the awareness of breath, body (all levels - mental, emotional, physical & energetic), your 5 senses, and extrasensory perceptions.
***As you re-balance and re-align your system you will be able to see your internal experience more clearly, and also recognize why other people are the way they are, allowing you to have more compassion and forgiveness both for others and yourself.***
The more ***aware*** you are, the better ***regulated*** you are, and from that space you can become the master of your domain. You deserve the space and time to simply be, rest, rejuvenate, and feel the aliveness of living life moment by moment for YOU!
**You are fully supported throughout the entire journey.**
This ceremony includes the optional combination of pure MDMA along with the psilocybin mushrooms. We have found these medicines work very synergistically together, and offer an amplified level of heart opening. The pure MDMA is optional, and the dosing for both medicines will be based upon your intentions, disposition, prior experience, and current state at the time of the ceremony.
After this ceremony you will feel more love for yourself and others, with a heightened sense of courage, strength, and integrity. ***You will want to make better choices, and also have the self-awareness needed to stay accountable to yourself.*** This level of love and clarity will emanate out to reach and impact all those closest to you.
***This is an invitation to open up your heart, and love and forgive yourself through unconditional acceptance. To awaken to your divinity and beauty, and access your greatest gifts of self-healing and conscious creatorship.***
**Ceremony Preparation & Integration**
Prior to the ceremony you will receive an in-depth **plant medicine workbook** to help you prepare, questions to ask yourself and a recommended diet to support your experience.
We will meet as a group before the ceremony for an **Intention Setting Call**, to connect with each other and share our intentions for the journey. You will also receive a **nervous system regulating practice** that supports in expanding internal awareness, grounding, centering and overall mindfulness.
Following the Ceremony we will have an **Integration Call** to support and hold space for continued breakthroughs, challenges and dream weaving.

Healing using Hemi-Sync sound technology from the Monroe Institute (in person)
Healing Development
* *April 25th - 26th, 2026*
* *9:00 am - 6:00 pm*
* *In person*
* *Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada*
* *Stephen Ng Qui Sang*
* *400 CAD (plus HST), approx. 290 USD*
The Healing Development course is designed to enhance healing skills of different types of therapists, of those dealing with health challenges, and those interested in having more tools to maintain their own health and well-being.
All those interested in personal healing or helping others will benefit from the Dolphin Energy Club exercises. These include special healing signals developed by Robert Monroe after researching the brain waves used by healers in the laboratory and then reverse-engineering audio signals that would facilitate others entering into that same healing state. Renowned healer Barbara Ann Brennan recommends that her students attend Monroe programs to enhance their skills and ability to move into different states of consciousness.
You will have new tools to enhance skills associated with being able to increase and direct energy. These include several exercises in the Access Channel of Focus 11, a state of consciousness that Robert Monroe considered his most important contribution to personal development. The Access Channel in and of itself is a very special and highly receptive state of consciousness that can be used for accessing our inner knowing. The tools learned in this state are called Function Commands. Once learned, these verbal cues can be used in daily life at any time, to control different bodily or mental functions.
In this program, one of the exercises addresses becoming more sensitive to sensory perception, improving seeing, hearing, and tactile feeling. Others deal with healing emotional issues and improving sleep. Opening the heart is the subject of another exercise, a necessary foundation for all healing processes.
This course may feel quite different from the Outreach Excursion course or Exploring Consciousness course. Though it does build on the skills learned there, it includes eminently practical exercises designed to help everyone lead healthier, happier, and more satisfied lives.
Course benefits and experiences (both during the course and afterwards) vary considerably, but participants typically report the following:
* An understanding of remote healing
* Deep physical relaxation
* Stress reduction
* Improved physical abilities
* Improved sleep
* Enhanced meditations
* Enhanced intuition and creativity
* Mental calm and clarity
* More energy for daily life
* Physical and emotional healing
The course is conducted using Zoom. Reliable internet connection with a recommended minimum speed of 5 Mbps is needed for streaming the exercises. You will need a good quality stereo headphone, a PC or MAC computer, video camera, and microphone. Unfortunately, the Zoom stereo audio does not work on iPads, iPhones and other cell phones. The trainer will meet with you prior to the start of the course to ensure you are properly setup with Zoom to ensure you have an optimal experience.
Here is some feedback we received from the last course:
* I gained a lot from this course. I now have meditations and commands I can use to improve my health and well being. Stephen lead the course like a master, giving us a lot of insight form his over two decades of meditation with the Monroe Institute. Thank you Stephen! - L.K.
* "I had a wonderful virtual two-day event from the comfort of my own home called “Healing Development” developed by The Monroe Institute with Canadian Certified Monroe Outreach Trainer, and Reiki Master, Stephen Ng Qui Sang.
The Hemi-Sync audio technology is fascinating, in fact at one point I fell asleep! During my outdoor walks and in meditation’s, I felt as if I were floating on a magic carpet, riding a wave, feeling, hearing, seeing, noticing more than I ever had before, brilliant. I experienced a profound physical and mental relaxation state during DEC, Dolphin Energy Healing. I highly recommend learning this technique for self healing and the many other consciousness tools I learned during this course. After completing the weekend, I had the best sleep I’ve had in months. Monday I woke up wanting to doodle again.
Stephen is an excellent teacher, bringing experience and stories to life with a smile. His passion for science, spirituality and self development is contagious. It’s comforting to know that he continues to explore, learn and grow, so he can lead others with direction and confidence on their journey of self development through the Monroe Institute’s programming." - C.K.

This is more than a swap — it’s a space to circulate what we already have and meet others in the community.
Bring any of the following to share:
* **Vegan-related books** (cookbooks, sustainability, mindful living, etc.)
* **Plants or cuttings** (optional)
Swap for something new-to-you from others. *The more you bring, the more there is to exchange!*
Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly- [https://form.jotform.com/260975490897073](https://form.jotform.com/260975490897073?utm_id=97758_v0_s00_e0_tv4&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAYnJpZBExVGxJeFRub0FQNmhUcmF3VnNydGMGYXBwX2lkEDIyMjAzOTE3ODgyMDA4OTIAAR4u9YhVWcSkITKfEn_NajeEUIyxFrXbcaG0HjFHoQn-MCxKlhGlUpFAnsMIzw_aem_vo9QISntFpTtGskmWaVEkQ)
Unclaimed books/plants at the end of the event will be donated.
