Join us for Energy Flow in Trinity Bellwoods Park, located on the west side of the park, just south of the John Gibson House and north of the playground.
Energy Flow uses intentional movement and breath to explore energy in the body, cultivating awareness and deeper connection. Open to all levels. Just bring a mat and yourself.

My community classes in High Park are by donation, for all bodies, and no experience is required. What is yoga? We combine breath, movement and awareness, all in the healing nature of High Park.
**What to bring?**
* Yoga mat (optional - the grass is nice to yoga on)

* Weather-appropriate clothing/ blanket for relaxation
We yoga rain or shine. There is shelter if we need it.

Breaking Free from the Matrix – Alternative Lifestyles & Sovereign Living
Join Liberty Labs Toronto for our eleventh meetup on **Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 7:00 PM** near Yonge and Eglinton!
This month we’re going deep on **breaking free from the matrix** — rejecting the default script of modern life and intentionally designing a more sovereign, fulfilling existence. Whether you’re already living it or just exploring the idea, we’ll discuss how libertarians can opt out of conventional paths and build lives aligned with true freedom.
This will be a highly participatory session. Come ready to share (or just listen to) real stories about:
* Van life, digital nomadism, or off-grid experiments
* Minimalism and financial independence
* Polyamory, child-free living, or unconventional relationships
* Intentional communities and voluntary living arrangements
* Any other way you’re breaking free from societal defaults
We’ll talk about the wins, the challenges, the financial realities, and how to navigate family pressure and Canadian legal hurdles while staying true to libertarian principles.

Yorkville valleys (6.8 km)
Yorkville is known as a swank shopping sector for socialites, but did you know there is a lush valley trail behind it? It's the first branch (or last depending on your perspective) of the Don valley system. This hike will bring you down to the Don river and up Rosedale ravine.
Yorkville is also an attraction in itself. It's steeped in history, with Victorian-era houses and a handsome library and fire hall. There are also hidden murals to be found, making it pleasant to explore. The old houses attracted artists in the 1960s for their low rent. Today, they attract luxury boutiques with high property prices.
Of course, the restaurants here cater to the big spenders. Most are overpriced but there are some gems and wallet-friendly food to be found. We'll end just outside of Yorkville, at a Korean BBQ buffet. Reservations are required in a [separate event](https://www.meetup.com/hike-to-eat/events/314503608). If you're not in the mood to eat all you can, there are affordable options in the same block for Afghan, Chinese, Japanese, and Syrian food.

An embodied experience of laughter, breath, movement, and vocal sound play - where voice and expression are felt - not performed.
**Remembering Who We Are: A Day of Radical Joy through Laughter Yoga & Vocal Sound Play**
Join us **in person** for an uplifting and interactive experience - a **one-time** unique intertwining of the expertise from two well-seasoned workshop facilitators: Lynn Himmelman, Champion of Laughter & Play and Ann-Marie Boudreau, Vocal Sound Play Specialist Extraordinaire!
**“Before the world told you who you should be, who were you?”**
Most of us have spent years perfecting a "mask"—a version of ourselves that is quiet, composed, and compliant. But behind that mask lies a version of you that is ***loud, rhythmic, and wildly alive.***
In a world that often asks us to "dampen down" our inner spark to fit into boxes and meet societal expectations, it’s easy to lose the melody of our own spirit.
***This workshop is an invitation to strip away the "shoulds" and step back into the vibrant, uninhibited version of yourself.***
This full-day intensive is ***a sanctuary for the unmasked version of you to come out and play***.
By weaving together the breathwork of **Laughter Yoga** with the resonance of **Vocal Sound Play**, we create a safe container to dissolve the "cloak" of adulthood and remember our original state: ***pure, uninhibited connection.***
**What to Expect**
This isn't a choir rehearsal or a gym class—it’s a journey of reconnection. We use movement, rhythm, and sound to bypass the analytical mind and tap into the wisdom of the body.
* **Laughter Yoga:** We utilize intentional laughter as a form of exercise. No jokes are required! Through playful movement and eye contact, "fake" laughter quickly transforms into the genuine, contagious, belly-aching variety.
* **Vocal Sound Play:** We move beyond lyrics and "good singing" to explore the raw power of the voice. Through toning, chanting, and melodic improvisation, we release stored tension and reclaim our unique frequency.
* **Childlike Play:** We revisit the freedom of childhood - before life lured you into a box of limitations - to rediscover a sense of wonder and curiosity.
**The Journey Back to "You"**
The goal of this workshop is a profound **"Remembering."** Together, we will:
1. **Shed the Armor:** Use movement to shake off the weight of societal expectations.
2. **Open the Heart:** Use laughter to break down emotional barriers and foster deep connection.
3. **Find Your Frequency:** Use vocal play to express the truths that words often fail to capture.
4. **Reclaim Play:** Remember that joy is your birthright, not a luxury.

**Facilitators' Note**
*This is a "no-talent" zone. You don’t need a singing voice, and you don’t need to be in a good mood. We don't use jokes; we use the body. All you need is the desire to be seen and heard in your most authentic form. This workshop provides you with the “How”.*
**Participant Checklist**
* **Comfortable Clothing:** Wear something you can move, dance, and lie down in. Dress in layers to accommodate periods of heating up and cooling down.
* **Relaxation Props:** Bring a yoga mat, 1-2 pillows for under your neck and knees, a blanket or towel to cover yourself
* **An Open Mind:** Leave the "adult" at the door; they can pick you up at 5:00 PM.
* **Water Bottle:** Laughter and toning are thirsty work!
* **Brown Bag Lunch:** Bring food for yourself (Lean towards, fresh, organic, vegetarian choices in order to align with The Redwood Studios vegetarian policy)and (optional)food to share. Get to know your workshop playmates, socializing and breaking bread together, between our morning and afternoon workshop sessions, in our community gathering spot, The Redwood Green Room, 3rd floor. If you prefer to break away on your own for lunch, be aware that there are limited "eating out" options close enough to the venue to be back within the hour.

Saigon Lotus Restaurant is another favorite and they have around for a long time. It is a Vietnamese vegan restaurant known for its plant-based dishes.
It is a good time to pay them another visit.
They do get busy for Saturday noon time. They go out of their way to give us a group reservation.

Creekside Hike
Join us this Thursday at 6:30 pm for a nice hike along the Big Walnut Trail along the Gahanna golf course, circling Creekside and back. This 2 mile hike is fully paved and a beautiful walk through the heart of Gahanna.
