It's a traditional English sport for everyone, even the unsporty. Your team will be either fielding or batting before swapping after the innings. When batting, the aim is to hit the ball, then try and run around the four posts. Your team gets a rounder if you make it round the four posts without stopping or getting out. You are out if when you hit the ball someone catches the ball before it reaches the ground or someone stumps a post before you get there. The rules will be explained at the beginning of each meetup with a practice round at the beginning. We play a slightly modified version of the official rules where if you are out, it's not game over for you. Your team will lose a life instead. This will give everyone multiple opportunities to bat. **It's very simple to pick up and the ball we use is very soft. We are very beginner friendly and the focus is on having fun rather than being competitive**. We attract attendees of all ages and sporting level. You are welcome to come and watch only too. Мы отправляемся на Юрское побережье, которое представляет собой береговую линию протяженностью 95 миль, включая части восточного побережье Девона и Дорсета. Сейчас сложно представить, что когда-то здесь бродили огромные рептилии 🦕. Однако многочисленные находки ученых говорят о том, что история этих мест охватывает 185 миллионов лет развития нашей планеты. Не случайно Юрское побережье было внесено в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО как объект, представляющий научную значимость. Находки, сделанные тут, позволили совершить открытия, которые во многом способствовали развитию палеонтологии и составлению древней картины мира. Кроме научных «красот», Юрское побережье славится своими восхитительными пейзажами, первозданной красотой и уникальными природными достопримечательностями. Самой известной из них является Durdle Door — известняковая природная арка. Конечно, аркой она стала не сразу. По мнению ученых, около 140 миллионов лет назад здесь сформировалась сеть пещер, образовавшихся в трещинах горных пород. Затем на протяжении многих тысячелетий «дизайнеры» природных ландшафтов — море, солнце и ветер — создавали это чудо природы. В самом высоком месте скала достигает 200 футов. Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus. Details: Meet: 1160 N High St 9:30 AM meet 10:00 AM rollout All wheels welcome We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert. If you’ve been meaning to come out, this is a great place to start. Come solo or bring a friend!

We'll get in around 4 miles at Three Creeks Metro Parks, primarily natural trails. 17-18 minute miles, no one left behind, and faster walkers are free to lead out. Optional lunch after! If you're joining for hiking all the metro parks, this is the sixth one!
