We invite you to join us to play games and socialize! **There is now a cut off for RSVPs. If you do not RSVP for an event on meetup, we cannot guarantee that we will have a seat available.** CAFE POLICIES 1. There is an entry fee of $6/person + tax for this event If you do not RSVP for the even by noon on the day of the event the price will be $8+ tax. 2. As a cafe we offer coffee and other beverage options. We would greatly appreciate that you not bring outside drinks into the store 3. We serve our own for and snacks and do not permit outside food and drink, except from the other businesses in the plaza to support our neighbouring small businesses 4. Be considerate of other guests when selecting games from our library and limit the number of games you bring back to each table to two (2) at a time 5. You are welcome to bring your own games to use in the cafe, but LVLUP GAMES is not responsible for lost, stolen, or otherwise damaged games/components Also as a general meet up rule, to be considerate to other guests. Since we have limited seating, it is of the utmost importance that if you plan on attending you sign up for the event. We'll play in the food court of North York Centre. This is a public space so there is no cost, but please be kind to other people in the area. Entering our 10th year, this group has been running weekly events intended for Dad's who are also board game enthusiasts. Please see our photo gallery for a sample of the games we play. We do not typically table mass market games (Chess, Clue, Monopoly etc.) We often table a variety of games, new and old, to keep things fresh. It is not required that you bring any games yourself, although it is appreciated if you do. In that case, please be prepared to teach whichever games you bring. Please do your best to support our excellent hosts for the past 3 years, Temple Bar Oakville. The focus for each event is to have fun so please adhere to our event etiquette (Jan 2026): 1. Please show up on time (we usually start the non-filler games right when the event starts). 2. Please only attend an event if you've already **RSVP'd**. Please change your **RSVP** status if you have to cancel (we typically wait a bit if we think you're stuck in traffic). 3. Please be kind to other players at your table: * No excessively long turns * No silly arguments over rules (if there's ambiguity, just agree on something temporarily for the evening) * No rolling back your moves in previous turns 4. You can invite a non-Dad guest every now and then but they cannot be a regular member of the group. 5. Please leave the arguments about politics at home. 6. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind.
