Join our small circle of curious minds (just 4 members per gathering) as we come together for an hour of focused reading—in the calm setting of a library or the cozy atmosphere of a café. Here’s how it works: First part: Quiet reading on your own—bring a book you’re exploring, whether it’s philosophy, history, psychology, literature, or anything meaningful to you. Second part: We regroup and each person shares key takeaways, insights, or questions sparked by their reading. This sparks a structured yet free-flowing conversation around ideas, perspectives, and personal reflections. Why join? Add structure to your reading habit. We will meet outside as long as the weather is nice. If not, we will move inside. Look out for a comment the morning of each meeting with our exact location. As we are meeting in person, please remember to bring something to read as we usually spend some time sharing our current reads and/or reading when meeting in person. Come take part in the ancient practice of chanting that's easy to join, powerful to feel, and impossible to forget. Call and response singing encourages connection, joy and inner peace. No experience is needed. You can sing, hum, play a drum or anther instrument, or simply listen and feel the vibration. We’ll explore traditional Sanskrit mantras, along with songs and prayers from other spiritual traditions, all woven together in the spirit of unity. Kirtan in simple terms is a chanting meditation. When you chant and repeat a mantra over and over, it vibrates your vocal chords and resonates through your whole body. When everyone in the room is chanting together, that vibration unifies us on a cellular level and allows us to access and connect with our divinity within. We'll also be serving cacao during this event to help open our hearts. Space is limited, so RSVP is required. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early so you can get situated. FIRST TIMERS: All are welcome, as long as you come with an open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience necessary. Before you arrive, be sure that any decks you plan to use adhere strictly to Konami's most recent Forbidden & Limited list: https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/ Parking near the venue is challenging, so, unless you take the Metro, your best option is to try 24th Street and the surrounding spots on Kalorama Road, Wyoming Avenue and Tracy Place. The Board Room does not offer food, however you are permitted to bring some of your own; there are also TVs all around, in case you like watching sports; and we can basically sit anywhere we want, though sometimes certain tables are reserved for other groups. While some attendees head out around 3 PM, you're welcome to stay longer if so desired. Please try to arrive by noon, so that we may enjoy ourselves for as long as possible. To the more experienced duelists, Yu-Gi-Oh! is more fun when players match decks of similar power levels. Therefore, I advise you to bring multiple decks: ideally a top-tier deck, a low-tier deck and a non-competitive deck. I want to make sure the novices enjoy themselves too!

We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. We always have a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about their business in more detail. And finally we pass referrals. You're welcome to visit. Nobody is ever put on the spot.
