Are you a fan of Halloween and horror movies?
Are you someone who is fascinated with the supernatural, spiritual, and paranormal?
Are you someone who absolutely hates all things scary?
Whichever side of the horror fence you find yourself on, this group is for you! All are welcome, no matter the level of horror fandom or metaphysical curiosity.
Shivers is a business founded on just that - what gives us shivers? Our events are described as "all things spooky", where horror, paranormal, and intuition collide. Shivers creates immersive horror-inspired experiences that blend mystery & macabre, inviting guests to explore the strange & unusual and face their own fears.
Each month of 2026 has its own theme with recurring events each month in those different themes. These recurring events include Virtual Movie Nights, Murder Mystery Parties, Tarot Readings, Reiki Sessions, and Game Nights.
Events are posted one month at a time with a variety of others offered, including paid and unpaid. Payment and locations are listed in event descriptions. There are no refunds provided 24 hours prior to paid events. In the case of an emergency, you can use your ticket credit towards another event. Locations vary along the east coast but focus online and in Raleigh.

Emo Era: An Afternoon of Nostalgia

We'll cap the event off by watching the Perks of Being a Wallflower, film. Bring your emo era stories and memories and settle in with your checkered belts.

Shivers Summer Gaming Competition - GUITAR HERO!
Crank Arm Brewery, 319 W. Davie Street, Raleigh, NC, USShivers is teaming up with Crank Arm Brewing to kick off our Summer Gaming Competition Series, starting with Guitar Hero!
Join us on August 8 from 6:00-8:00 PM for a head-to-head, bracket-style tournament where players will battle it out for prizes, bragging rights, and the title of Shivers Summer Gaming Champion.
How it works:
- Head-to-head elimination bracket
- Sign up for a time slot in advance (recommended) or walk in and join as space allows
- Winners will take home prizes, including our top champion
We’ll be welcoming players of all skill levels, so whether you’re casually strumming or shredding on expert, there’s a place for you in the lineup.
When signing up ahead, please let me know what your skill level is. Each skill level will have its own winners. This is an honesty policy - if you normally play on expert but sign up for easy, you may be disqualified. The skill levels are as followed: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert
No entry fee. Just show up and play. Grab a drink from Crank Arm Brewing, hang out, and enjoy the chaos as competitors take the stage.
