We're back with the second GraphQL Meetup in Berlin. This time we have two amazing speakers from Apollo presenting what they've been working on for the last few months.

As always there will be free drinks and snacks, so please feel free to come and chat with us about GraphQL!

Entry: 6:30pm - Talks begin: 7pm (Networking & Snacks after talks)

Talk 1: Bringing GraphQL to iOS

The strongly-typed nature of GraphQL is a great match for native development. Within Facebook, the iOS and Android teams have long relied on code generation to generate native model classes that know how to parse raw JSON into properly typed data objects.

Apollo iOS has been built around the same process. It integrates with the Xcode build process to generate query-specific Swift types from a GraphQL schema and a set of query documents. In effect, this means you can now rely on the Swift type checker to make sure errors in data access show up at compile time. In this talk, I'll demonstrate how Apollo iOS works and discuss its design

Speaker: Martijn Walraven is a core developer at Meteor Development Group, where he works on the open source Apollo data stack based on GraphQL. Currently, he is focused on creating a production-quality GraphQL client for iOS written in Swift. He is also the creator of Meteor iOS, which integrates native iOS apps with Meteor.

Talk 2: Landing on the ngMoon with Apollo - GraphQL and Angular

Popularity of GraphQL is rapidly growing. Thanks to ApolloStack, it's possible to use it with Angular. In this talk, we will think about what it means for us, the Angular community and how to adapt GraphQL in our applications.

Speaker: Kamil is a front-end engineer and a member of the angular-meteor team. He helped build Angular integration for ApolloStack. He is passionate about learning new stuff and developing new things. Based in Warsaw, Poland.
