What we’re about

Engaging The One Heart is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, community connection, and personal transformation. Our mission is to share diverse spiritual and social experiences, including practices and ideas rooted in Transpersonal (Psycho-Spiritual) and Narrative Psychology, to support individuals on their spiritual journey.
We embrace an inclusive philosophy that integrates wisdom teachings from diverse cultures, spiritual traditions, and religions worldwide. Through this holistic approach, we aim to cultivate understanding, compassion, and community.
We achieve our mission through the following initiatives:

  1. Self-Help Tools and Guided Meditations: Accessible online resources designed for personal use or sharing with others (non-commercially).
  2. Educational Classes: Many of our classes are free or donation-based opportunities to learn about diverse wisdom teachings. Some of our events may have a fee, with consideration given to a sliding scale arrangement.
  3. Community Practices: Group meditations (from various spiritual traditions), sacred song circles, and other shared practices.
  4. Volunteer Outreach: Bringing wisdom teachings to under-served communities, such as prisons, local community centers, and senior centers.
  5. Discussion Groups: Facilitated conversations on meaningful and sometimes challenging topics (e.g., forgiveness, immigration), emphasizing empathy, active listening, and civil dialogue.
Through these efforts, Engaging The One Heart seeks to inspire and empower individuals while building bridges of understanding and connection across diverse communities.

David Zirin, Psy.D. (Dahvid), the organizer of this group, is a licensed psychologist, who over four decades, has studied the wisdom teachings of different cultures, religions, and diverse spiritual traditions, which he has integrated with conventional and transpersonal (psycho-spiritual) psychology.
