This month, the English Book Club Vienna is travelling down a desolate road through post-apocalyptic America.
Cormac McCarthy’s The Road is the winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. It follows a father and his young son as they journey across a devastated landscape in search of food, shelter, and safety.
It’s not exactly a feel-good read, but it is widely regarded as one of the greatest novels of the 21st century, so hopefully the emotional damage will be worth it.
Join us for a drink and a relaxed discussion about our potential end-of-the-world survival strategies, what we’d do in a post-apocalyptic scenario, and maybe a few other less catastrophic topics too.
€2 kindly requested on the night to help cover Meetup costs.
